ID Verification and 18 U.S.C. 2257, Explained

What sellers upload, who sees it, and why buyers can trust a verified badge.

Why we check ID

Federal law (18 U.S.C. 2257) requires proof that everyone in adult content is 18 or older. We collect that proof from every seller before they can list an item or accept an order. No ID, no listings. There are no exceptions for popular accounts.

What a seller does

  1. Upload a government-issued photo ID (driver license, passport or state ID).
  2. Our team reviews it, usually within 24 to 48 hours.
  3. Accept the Creator Agreement.
  4. Add a payout handle (a Cash App $cashtag or Strike handle) in settings. Without one you cannot accept orders.

Who sees the ID

Buyers never see it. Your public profile shows a verified badge and your username, nothing from the document. The record is kept for compliance and is only opened for legal or safety reasons. The full wording is on the 2257 notice and in the privacy policy.

What buyers get out of it

A verified badge means a real adult passed the check. It does not guarantee a good transaction, which is why every order still goes through seller approval, tracking and the 72-hour order-request flow if something goes wrong.

Age checks for buyers

Buyers confirm they are 18 or older at the age gate and accept the Terms. Selling or buying here is for adults only.

This page is plain information, not legal advice. If you have a legal question about selling adult items in your state, ask a lawyer.
